Press Release: Oxford, 3 June 2016:
In May 2016, Risk Decisions extended its partnership with the Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Alliance, as the organisation became an early adopter of Predict! 5 – a new, user-focused risk management and analysis tool. The AWD Alliance adopted the software to manage risks across key stages of the project, including design, construction, testing and eventually acceptance.
The AWD Alliance is responsible for delivering three Air Warfare Destroyers and their support system to the Australian Defence Force, a project that is one of Australia’s largest and most complex undertakings.
The Risk Decisions team installed, configured and trained the main users within the AWD Alliance to ensure effective adoption and proactive risk management. The Predict! 5 upgrade will increase speed, simplicity and personalisation, resulting in improved productivity for the AWD Alliance. In addition, Risk Decisions will provide support at a local level with ongoing reviews to maximise positive risk management behaviours.
AWD Risk and Opportunity Project Manager Rob Pitelen reinforced the importance of creating a culture for effective risk and opportunity management. “Our upgrade to Predict! 5 has enabled us to implement an improved risk management framework across the Alliance. We are looking forward to real step change as we strengthen our culture and drive towards a world-class risk management framework,” said Rob.
Risk Decisions’ Global Business Development Director, Fiona Racher also commented on the company’s partnership with the AWD Alliance. “The way that we have worked with the AWD Alliance is a reflection of our collaborative approach to working with our customers. We welcomed AWD’s input into the Predict! 5 development through user feedback and beta-testing and are confident this partnership will grow beyond the course of the project.”
